Traveling the Entire Summer, A Mini-Series
My husband and I have both visited Hong Kong before for work, but this is our first time coming here as a family. It’s part of our two-month-long summer trip with the kids.
Although our stay was only two days, it was sweet and we enjoyed ourselves, leaving with great memories. These are my impressions of Hong Kong.
Youth Hostel
I had never stayed in a youth hostel in my entire life, but this time we stayed at one with my kids. It was quite an experience, and I’m glad we got to share it together. We chose a hostel because we wanted to be closer to the Tsim Sha Tsui (尖沙咀) area, where the street food is epic. We literally went downstairs and had hundreds of places to choose from to eat. Hotels were too expensive, but hostels offered reasonable prices (we paid $45 per night per room, and we booked 2 rooms) so we could enjoy the same food.
Our room was very small; in addition to two beds and a tiny bathroom, there was almost no extra space. But who cares! I was glad to have a bed where I could lie flat, which was better than on the plane.
