It’s that time of the year again: summarizing and reviewing what I’ve read during the entire year. Each year, I do this to mark a little achievement for myself and, at the same time, I want to remember how I found those books and how they have influenced me.

I have been doing this for a few years now. You can find my book summaries for 2020, 2021, and 2022 here. I often read my old summaries, which are also refreshing moments. I recommend you do that too.

In 2023, I read biographies and more non-fiction books, including finance (still my favorite topic) as well as those about physical and mental well-being. I discovered real-life stories and wisdom that people shared in these books. Half of the books I read were about money. It might sound cliché, but they reveal a lot about us humans.

Biographies

Decision Points, by George W. Bush (2010)

Decision Points, a memoir by former U.S. President George W. Bush (GWB), recounts pivotal moments and decisions in his life, offering insights into his presidency, personal reflections, and critical choices made during his tenure.

From his experiences, I gained a better understanding of how the U.S. government works. Unfortunately, at times, they may have crossed the line of the Constitution. If a president could write about these things in a book, we should at least…
